or at least trying to.

Before I post a few pictures, please be aware that I am almost completely booked up for the rest of the year. If you are wanting holiday pictures, contact me asap so that I can see if there are any times available.

I do, however, reserve time for newborns so if you are expecting, you may contact me about a shoot anytime. But remember it’s best to get newborn images done in the first two weeks of life!

almost an entire year to meet this family. You see last year, when I announced I would be taking part in the Giving is Awesome move, Terrah wrote me and nominated her sister-in-law, Julie. (I’m sure a lot of you remember Julie, as she is an amazing woman!)  Now, it was time to turn the camera on Terrah and her sweet family.

It was so great finally meeting all of you. Your family was so much fun and completely adorable!

This little guy was the shy one. I love how he has his hand tucked into his sleeve and pulled up by his face–I think he was trying to protect himself from the lady with the big huge camera!

Here is the not-so-shy one. He kept me on my toes and made me laugh.

To my wonderful and patient clients, please forgive me for falling behind. It started with the flu, then strep, now pneumonia and even stomach issues. And this is all the same kid.   (not to mention our overnight sleep study last week with a different kiddo)

I know I have emails to answer, orders to place, some to deliver, editing to be done and sneak peeks to show. I will do all of it asap. And hopefully I will get to do a lot of catching up this weekend. So thank you for understanding, you have all been awesome and more than anything, you’ve been caring and concerned. I’m so lucky to have you as my clients.

Also, thanks to all of our friends and family who have been checking in. Word spread quickly about our boy and my phone started blowing up tonight with text messages. We are so blessed!

Of course I have to post a few pics. Here’s a little light in our house. So far, she’s staying healthy.

This wonderfully sweet dress she’s wearing is from a good friend of mine, also a photographer. She sent this to me (from Shabby Apple) when Alexa was a newborn and it looked huge, I couldn’t even picture her in it at the time. And now she’s almost too big for it! Thank you so much Mindy.

Also, you just have to go check out where her headband is from. (isn’t it the cutest, most petite, little headband?!).  Another photographer friend of mine makes these. She has a store on Etsy.com called Only Poppy Rose, full of all sorts of girly things.

I promise I was thinking of you guys yesterday on your 10th anniversary but just couldn’t make it to the computer long enough to blog this. (remember that little flu thing that invaded your house? it’s at ours )

How cute are they? And so happy! (and also the coolest parents around from what I can tell)

Brandon Holland – I love how the colors are so vibrant and balanced. I also love how your portfolio captures “moments” that seem to be so spontaneous and “unposed”. GREAT work!

I did the random.org True Random Number Generator (thanks El!) and it came up with one. For some reason that’s funny to me, doesn’t seem very random. But I am so appreciative of Brandon’s and the other comments. So Brandon, email me at klanephotography@yahoo.com to tell me Starbucks or iTunes!
