To my wonderful and patient clients, please forgive me for falling behind. It started with the flu, then strep, now pneumonia and even stomach issues. And this is all the same kid.
(not to mention our overnight sleep study last week with a different kiddo)
I know I have emails to answer, orders to place, some to deliver, editing to be done and sneak peeks to show. I will do all of it asap. And hopefully I will get to do a lot of catching up this weekend. So thank you for understanding, you have all been awesome and more than anything, you’ve been caring and concerned. I’m so lucky to have you as my clients.
Also, thanks to all of our friends and family who have been checking in. Word spread quickly about our boy and my phone started blowing up tonight with text messages. We are so blessed!
Of course I have to post a few pics. Here’s a little light in our house. So far, she’s staying healthy.

This wonderfully sweet dress she’s wearing is from a good friend of mine, also a photographer. She sent this to me (from Shabby Apple) when Alexa was a newborn and it looked huge, I couldn’t even picture her in it at the time. And now she’s almost too big for it! Thank you so much Mindy.
Also, you just have to go check out where her headband is from. (isn’t it the cutest, most petite, little headband?!). Another photographer friend of mine makes these. She has a store on Etsy.com called Only Poppy Rose, full of all sorts of girly things.
I was so honored when Rosanne (you may remember her stunning daughter) contacted me last month to ask if I would photograph some wonderful kids who are part of the Boys and Girls Club of Collin County. The images were to be used at the Green Peridot Fashion Show at Neiman Marcus as well as the amazing Chrysalis Ball at Embassy Suites that is coming up on October 24th (6:00pm). This is such an amazing cause and I hope that you will consider attending, I am absolutely certain it will be a blast! If you can’t make it on the 24th, please consider making a donation to help. The Boys and Girls Club keeps these kids in a positive environment and does so much for them. In fact, last year 100% of the seniors graduated and 100% of them went off to college!

If you are on Facebook, you can go here to learn more about and join this cause.
Here are some of the sweet faces I was lucky enough to work with:

And here’s a picture from the fashion show and how they had the images displayed. Artwork was done by Jill Christiansen. (I didn’t have my camera with me that night so I had to snag this one from Rosanne’s FB page–thanks Rosanne!)

I’m so completely excited that I was chosen as one of the photographers for the recent contest on the Matilda Jane blog! There are 40 of us who are going to be getting the same dress to photograph, putting our own “spin” on it. Of course I requested the size that my own baby girl is in so she will be my model for this fun project. To say that I’m obsessed with Matilda Jane clothes would be an understatement. I’m pretty sure there is just nothing cuter than seeing my girl in her MJ clothes!

And don’t forget to look below for a little giveaway of my own!
One of the best parts of my job is that I get to meet so many new people. And many of those people then become my friends. Some are “email” friends, some end up being “playdate” friends and then…there is Amanda. Amanda went from client, to friend who keeps me organized, helps decorate my house, brings me coffee and so, so much more. She has been such a bright spot in my life this past year so today I’m proud to brag on her and just how brilliant she really is!
Amanda is an expert on Feng Shui and if you don’t know what that is, you should. To start learning, check out her awesome article on AOL! After you are done reading that article, hop on over to her blog and be sure to check back often. This woman is full of wisdom! I promise, you will be intrigued.

I realize I should be posting some red, white and blue pics but I have promised several people birthday party pictures so here they are! If you don’t like pink, look away from your screen.

As you can see, I’m actually IN some of the pictures–thanks to my sweet friend Brenda, who was here to take some pics for me.
And I just have to show you her card. The ridiculously talented Erika Jessop designed it for me. I couldn’t love it any more! Isn’t it adorable?
