K. Lane Photography {the blog} bio picture

Hello and welcome!

Thanks for stopping by the K. Lane Photography blog! I am located in the Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX area.  I love what I do and hope you will too. Although I'm not daily blogger, my goal here is to keep you informed and entertained with sneak peeks from sessions and a few glimpses of my own personal life occasionally. Feel free to send me a contact form from here or stop by my website to take a look around!

What a difference

a year can make! I absolutely love doing one year shoots for my previous newborn clients. And this little guy went from a bald little newbie to a running one-year-old with a head full of gorgeous dark hair. Not only was it great to play with “L” for the day, it was awesome seeing his parents again.  They are so fun to talk to…we chat about babies, motherhood, natural birth, running and even photography. These are my kind of people. :-)

And now for the sneak peek. G, this is the one I told ya about (on the left):

Aren’t they a stunning family??

And just so you can see how he’s grown:

Thanks M&G for such a fun shoot. Hope your guy is feeling better!

More twins!

Thank you to the wonderful parents of these sweet babies for being so patient! I was away on vacation for over 10 days and didn’t get to edit a single image of these cuties. So I hope these hold you over until I can finally finish! :-)

Teeny tiny twins

Oh my…these little twins (one boy, one girl!) were so wonderfully adorable. And tiny. And sweet. I just wanted to take one home with me but mom warned me and told her husband to make sure I didn’t pack one up :-)

No really, Jamie and Jennifer, thank you so much for trusting Brenda and I to take your babies and work with them for (almost) four hours! I know you were exhausted, having just gotten home from the hospital, but hopefully you’ll think it was worth it. And I also know that you and all of Facebook have already seen this one but I just had to post it here. I will definitely be sharing more of these two on the blog!

Be sure to check out Brenda’s blog for another picture of the twins AND one of big sis!!

Long time no blog

It’s been a while since I posted but sometimes life just gets in the way of blogging. I have, however, still been shooting…so I don’t get rusty. :-)

Announcement: mini sessions have arrived!

mini-banner-copy

I am so excited to announce that I am joining up with a fellow photographer and wonderful friend, Brenda Acuncius,  to offer mini sessions!

We hope you’ll take a few minutes to check out our new mini session site, to find out the scoop. Our first date for the sessions is going to be April 4th, just in time for some Mother’s Day gifts (hint! hint!). We are offering some awesome digital file collections for those last minute gifts!

You can use the contact form from the site to ask us questions and one of us will get back to you as soon as we can. :-)

And while I have your attention, I’m going to add just a teeny tiny sneak peek for this sweet baby girl’s parents. A couple of weeks ago I promised to post a few more pictures from their maternity session but one cup of coffee+my kid+my lap top=bad combination. :-(   So now, you get to see this adorable little face:

And I know I’ll get lots of emails about the cute hat. Baby “A” was kind enough to model it for me and she looked oh-so-adorable in it. It’s from Noggins n’ Bobbins!

My favorite!

I don’t usually post my absolute favorite, but this wonderful family has had to wait so long for their sneak peek, I thought I’d make it a good one.  I don’t know if they’ll love it as much as I do, but I hope so.

Here it is:

Yep, that’s right–we had their newborn outside for a lot of the session! When mom and dad suggested it, I was thrilled!

Here is one of his cute little feet.

And I love this one because you can see his sweet little face:

Thank you so much for such a great shoot “M” family.  I had so much fun and feel lucky to have met you.
